Vietnam Languages
The Museum of Vietnamese History display maps show regions of the 54 different languages from five different families.
The most common and widespread is Viet from the Austroasiatic language group, background yellow color.
The Mon-Khmer languages from the same group are also widespread, especially in the western highlands.
Sino-Tibetan languages are more common in the north.
There are also speakers of Austronesian languages related to the Champa and Thai related languages.
