Swiss Construction and Renewal

Switzerland is a country of engineers and engineering. New things are constantly being built and not-so-new things are constantly being updated. The streets of central Zurich were torn up this summer, new utilities laid, and the streets rebuilt with the streetcar lines.

The scene below is a new shopping area with parking outside of Zurich on the north side.
Winterthur was an old industrial powerhouse. The urban renewal program is replacing old factories with residential housing, below, as well as start up companies, and even public art, as shown in the last picture.
