Chabot Museum in Rotterdam

The Chabot Museum was designed in 1938, a few years after the Sonneveld House, by Gerrit Baas, who had worked for Brinkman and Van der Vlugt, and another architect.

In summer 2019, the  Chabot Museum is showcasing the private art collection of Dutch artist Armando.  He has collected pieces over the years from artists and galleries, most done in pencil by artists who are not famous and, indeed, for many of the drawings there is no record of the artist.  It is a powerful collection and encouraging to experience.  The ones below were done with pencil or charcoal, except for the middle watercolor.
