Today's hike on day five involved ascending Monte Bar, view below from 1,600 meters.
We are looking at the path east to the high point of Gazzirola.
We then follow the ridge south to Capanna San Lucio, visible below at the extreme right of the ridge. Total 15 km, 600 meters up and 700 meters down.
Gazzirola at elevation still shows the signs from the previous week's ultramarathons.
Below, an old primitive check dam to hold back water on ridge top. Erosion gullies visible.
