5: Capanna San Lucio

 Capanna San Lucio is one of three refuges situated on the border between Switzerland and Italy at 1,540 meters altitude.  (Ticino canton about 25 km northeast of Lugano at the top of Val Colla).




Dinner was a friendly gathering of hikers, German motocross guys and the hut guardians.

Breakfast included cookies, 5 lb butter and 3 gallons of coffee (as choices).
