Ferdinand Hodler (1853-1918) is now one of the best known Swiss artists, although he was often poor, ill and not appreciated during his lifetime. Some of his art was taken from Jewish owners during the war, raising issues of provenance. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferdinand_Hodler
