Giorgio Morandi at the London Estorick

 The Estorick Collection is a small museum in north London showcasing modern Italian art.  It is the bequest of Eric and Salome Estorick.  In early 2023 Italian artist Giorgio Morandi was exhibited through masterpieces from the Magnani-Rocca Foundation.  https://www.estorickcollection.com/      https://www.magnanirocca.it/magnani-rocca-foundation/

Like Cezanne (see below), Morandi was a retiring artist, who focused on spatial compositions.  In these few images, one can see his trend toward late abstraction and also how spaces between were as important as objects themselves.
