Abandoned Houses, Southern GTA

For many years, the alpine valleys lost population and economic vitality.  It had always been a hard life, living in stone houses and tending cows.  Abandoned houses and whole villages are common.  Now, tourism and second home renovation has brought vitality back to many areas.

The grange/stable and house above must have been built originally hundreds of years ago.
It had graffiti from the 1800s scratched into the stone!
