Placing Front Step Treads

After deliberating five years, stone treads were chosen:  'Filo Blue' dark granite.
Each tread is about 12 inches wide and 8 feet long - weighing 200 pounds.
It was difficult to apply mortar and then turn over the heavy sticky tread and put in place before the mortar sets.
