
Looking back northeast up the valley of the Glacier de Trient to the Fenetre d'Arpette.
The photos below show the hike from the valley floor up 500 m toward the Col de Balme.




The refuge at the Col de Balme is silhouetted against the sky after a long day of hiking. On the other side is the Chamonix valley and the last leg of the Tour.
