Connecticut Reminders

Of the highs and lows, economic ups and downs, and persistent economic inequality.

The first photo below is the 'Frog Bridge' in Willimantic, Connecticut, which was known as 'Thread City' due to the factories that used mill power to turn out thread for textile industry.

This is an abandoned industrial site on the bike path outside of town.

Below:  promenade at Grace Farms, open to the public, in New Canaan, CT.

'The Pavilion,' a building designed by Philip Johnson on the grounds of the Glass House also in New Canaan, CT, used to display large sculptures.
